The Discovery Community Training Centre caters for 50 learners at any one time. We offer five major awards in five specific areas:

- Culinary & Hospitality Skills
- Hair and Beauty VTCT
- Woodwork & Construction
- Pathway to Employment
- Employability Skills
Upon entry, learners are assessed and an individual learning plan is developed. A common award is identified according to the learner’s performance gap i.e., the actual performance and
the desired performance required by a future employer or educator.
The Discovery CTC offers education different from the formal education system using vocational skills to progress learners into employment or further education.
Intake is continuous and the duration of the course is usually 12 months, which can be subject to extension under certain conditions. The Discovery CTC provides each learner with a key worker who will work with the learner throughout their experience in the centre, identifying psychological and educational needs.
We provide a trainee-centred, nurturing approach and the learners enjoy perhaps one of their first positive attitudes towards learning.
