About this location
The Centre was set up in 1981 to provide training for early school leavers and young unemployed persons from the local area. It receives European Social funding and is managed by a voluntary Board of Management.
Besides the training provided by our core course, guidance is given in job seeking skills, career planning, social and personal skills as well as team building skills through a variety of cultural and sporting activities.
Thurles Community Training Centre provides a learner centred approach to early school leavers in a stimulating and supportive environment where highly skilled staff help learners develop their full potential, gain nationally recognised qualifications and progress towards employment.
